Use of medications such as LOTEMAX GEL may result in cataract formation, or may delay healing after cataract surgery. Do not use loteprednol for longer than 2 weeks unless your doctor tells you to. Do not use this medication while wearing contact lenses. Loteprednol may contain a preservative that can discolor soft contact lenses. Do not wear contact lenses while you are using Lotemax® eye gel. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before you put the drops into your eyes. Wait at least 15 minutes after using Inveltys ™ eye drops before you put your contact lenses back in. If Lotemax (loteprednol eye gel) is being used after surgery on both eyes, do not use the same bottle for both eyes. Your doctor may order 2 eye drop bottles; one for each eye. Make sure you do not mix the 2 bottles up. At times the Restasis works better if you also use a mild cortisone drop like Lotemax for about 3 weeks, especially good to do this when you first start on the Restasis.
