Still continuing my slow taper off Clonazepam. I'm down to a single tablet(0.5) a day and cut it by half a tablet each week. The withdrawal effects are mild and I've been able to sleep well without using my usual sleep med, Remeron. You should NOT break these tablets in half. They are meant to be taken/ swallowed whole. Ideally, you should only split the tablets with a pill cutter and not your hands. You have got some good advice already.I would only add that you don't have to be so exact, so if you cut them up and they fall into pieces, just take enough pieces so they are roughly one half or one quarter as required.
